He placed you at His banquet table

For everyone to see

That His banner over you declares His love

MATTHEW 26:26 (AMP)

26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, ‘Take, eat; this is My body’.

Jesus blessed the bread, broke it and shared it. The Lord’s Table is a table of blessing. We must enjoy both the natural and spiritual food God provides. This is a table of grace, where grace flows. His table is a display of God’s goodness and grace over our lives. Like Mary and not Martha, we must enjoy the people being served. As ambassadors of Christ, we must give ourselves to others. At the table, we are reminded that the greater the forgiveness, the greater the love. Jesus laid down His life for others. Those who truly know Him serve others. Jesus’ table calls all to come and learn more about Him through His Word – Sonja Kleynhans.

LUKE 22:17-20 (AMP)

17 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, ‘Take this and share it among yourselves;

18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes’.

19 And when He had taken bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me’.

20 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, ‘This cup, which is poured out for you, is the new covenant [ratified] in My blood’.

2 CORINTHIANS 5:21 (AMP)

Sunday, 27 June: Embracing Change, by Pastor Coenie Bezuidenhout:
