Do you have a greater revelation of Christ after the storm?

Do not waste your storm

We want to see Lazarus healed, but God wants Lazarus raised from the dead

EPHESIANS 3:14-19 (AMP)

14 For this reason [grasping the greatness of this plan by which Jews and Gentiles are joined together in Christ] I bow my knees [in reverence] before the Father [of our Lord Jesus Christ],

15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name [God—the first and ultimate Father].

16 May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality],

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love,

18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love];

19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself].

In Mark 4:41, after Jesus calmed the storm, they were filled with great fear, and said to each other, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?” They feared the revelation of Christ. Do you have a greater revelation of God’s love after the storm?

Matthew 7 is about the wise man and the foolish man who built their houses. The wise man hears the words of God and acts on them. The foolish man also hears the words of God but does not do them.

There are two houses; the wise man builds his house upon the rock and the foolish man on the sand. The storm is precisely the same. “And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was its fall”.

As Christians, we sometimes expect that the storm won’t come our way. We believe and trust that we will miss the storm. Then, when the storm comes, we are flabbergasted when it’s the same storm that hits the wise and the foolish. However, there is a different outcome for the wise and foolish. Many times, we want the easiest way out. We trust that God will protect us from all evil. Imagine, Daniel prayed for God to change the king’s heart and immediately after that, he gets thrown into the lion’s den. What would you have prayed if you were in Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego’s shoes? You would have thought that God does not answer your prayers. You are maybe also serving God faithfully, but the fact of the matter is that it was in the fiery furnace, in the lion’s den, in the storm where God’s name is magnified. It is not because God saved Daniel from the lion’s den, but God saved Daniel in the lion’s den.

It is in the storm that we get a revelation of God that God is in us in the boat. Just like a pilot, in the middle of a storm, it’s not the time to change your course or make major adjustments. Keep on doing the right thing, a level attitude, and keep going. In the storm, it’s not the time to question your spiritual father, your spiritual house or the doctrine; least of all, to question God. You must remember, God is not in the storm but in the boat. He is the foundation in times of the storm.

We need a revelation of His love, to be able to walk in the fullness of life and power that comes from God. The things in life that, many times, we want to side-step may be the best place to get a revelation of God. Sometimes we want to see Lazarus healed, but God wants Lazarus to be raised from the dead. God wants us to marvel afterwards. He wants us to say, who is this God I serve that even the winds obey Him? We should focus on God, be still, and we will experience the manifestation of God who calms the storm and destroys the enemy. In all these things, we will obtain a mighty revelation of the goodness of God. That we may come to know, practically, through personal experience, the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge.

ECCLESIASTES 3:11 (AMP)

11 He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

Sunday, 29 November: Your Kingship, by Pastor Charles:

“Intensification of His discipline will become more and intense so that we may walk into His Kingship”.

MALACHI 3:2-4 (AMP)

But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like launderer’s soap [which removes impurities and uncleanness].

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi [the priests], and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the Lord [grain] offerings in righteousness.

Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in ancient years.
